What is the 40 Amp Breaker in Kit ETBC7 Used For
Question:
The kit comes with 3 breakers, 20a, 30a & 40a. Is the 40a breaker the one I use to connect the black wire to the positive battery terminal?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the 40 amp breaker is typically used for the battery connection. This will supply a 12V, 40 amp power source for trailers that need to charge batteries or power electrical systems while in transit.
The 20 amp and 30 amp breakers are used for some brake controller installation. You can also use these in place of the 40 amp if your trailer needs less than 40 amps on that circuit.
Depending on your needs, you may not need a power connection and may not need any breakers. If you write back and let me know what vehicle this is going on and what trailer systems it will need to support, I can help with installation instructions.
