Can Tow Wiring Harness And 4-Way T-One Harness Both Be Installed At The Same Time

Question:

I have purchased one HM56204 kit and 118554 from etrailer.com. Both kits are using the T-connectors to the taillights. Can I install both kits, and if so is there a specific sequence of installation i.e. can I install the HM56204 first and piggy back the 118554? I would appreciate your early response. Thanks

You should have no problem installing both the Hopkins Custom Taillight Wiring Kit, part # HM56204, and the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 118554 at the same time.

It should make no difference which one is installed first, but you will want to make sure you have plenty of room behind the taillight for both harness connectors, and make sure you test the first installation with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 before wiring the second harness. This way you will know all of the functions are working properly before installing the second harness.

When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the connections and helps prevent corrosion.
