Trailer Wiring Harness for 2012 Volkswagen Golf Wagon
Question:
For a 2012 VW Golf Wagon there is no wiring kit shown, but for a 2010 there is one, is there not one available for the 2012 model or can I use the 2010 one? Thanks

The universal-fit trailer wiring harness that you referenced, part # 119179KIT from TowReady, is indeed a correct fit for your 2012 Volkswagen Golf Wagon. This kit includes the circuit tester required to positively identify the lighting function carried on each vehicle wire to enable you to make the correct connections.
Most of the wiring splices will be made at the tail light assemblies with one more required for the 12V power feed for the harness wire that runs to the battery's positive terminal. The linked video will illustrate.
