Installing Brake Controller and 7-Way on 2008 Suzuki XL7
Question:
Hi, I have an 08 suzuki xl7 with a standard hitch and 4 pin light connector. I am purchasing a casita rv trailer and would like to purchase a brake controller and 7way connector from you. Im wondering if this GM car is has existing wiring I should connect the controller and 7way into so I dont need to run additional wiring between the controller and 7way connector. Thanks.

Among the most popular and highly-rated brake controllers we offer is the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. This unit offers easy set-up and reliable performance.
Since your XL7 already has a flat 4-pole connector you'll use the # ETBC7 brake controller installation kit which includes the 7-way socket, circuit breakers, wiring and connectors required to prepare your vehicle to tow a trailer with electric brakes. Your installation will be a hard-wired type since there is no quick-connect port under your dash to connect the controller.
I have linked you to a video and articles concerning installation.
