Will a 24 By 48 inch Box Fit in the 24x60 Cargo Carrier For 2 inch Trailer Hitches
Question:
I have a box to place in a cargo carrier. The box is exactly 24x 48. Would this box fit into this carrier? What about the rounded corners? Other suggestions? The box and its contents will weigh about 300# - Thanks

Expert Reply:
Your box should fit as long as it is no wider than 24 inches, which is the inside width of this carrier. The distance from the start of the corner on these carriers is 61-1/2 inches so there will be plenty of length along the front and back for your 48 inch long box to fit inside. The total inside width is 60 inches. Weight capacity is 500 pounds. Please check the tongue weight of your vehicle. You must go with the lowest limit.
You may also want to consider a cargo carrier light kit if the items on the carrier will obscure the vehicle taillights. The Cargo Carrier Light Kit For # e98943-44LED.
