Pairing the Prodigy RF Brake Controller with a 1982 Fleetwood Jamberee RV and Trailer
Question:
I bought this product and works fine with 2007 Nissian Xterra. When I try to pair with a 1982 Fleetwood Jamberee Chevy 30 Van the remote will not sync, saids nc. Mentioned in a statement that if the remote is not synced the controller will still apply brakes. Driving me crazy since I need to pull the trailer with the RV. Thanks

The first step I would take is to make sure that the 7-way trailer connector on your RV has power on the battery charge pin (see diagram). You can test for power using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. The Tekonsha Prodigy RF, # TK94FR, requires 12-volt power from the tow vehicle to function properly. If your trailer connector does not have a constant 12 volts at the battery charge pin, then the main unit is not receiving power which would explain the nc code on the handheld unit.
Also, the entire pairing process may need to be completed again with the new tow vehicle. I have attached the installation instructions and an installation video for you. We have found that the handheld unit will show nc rather than 0.0 during the pairing process. To complete pairing, be sure to follow the installation instructions to the letter. If you have done everything correctly, once you get to that NC just keep going through the steps. Apparently sometimes it will flash NC instead of 00 but if you keep going it may go ahead and pair.
