Base Plates Needed to Tow 2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab Edition with Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar

Question:

I have a Falcon All-terrain tow bar and want to tow a 2013 jeep wrangler MOAB edition 2 door. I think it has the same front bumper as the call of duty, but I am not sure. What do you recommend as far as base plates?

For your 2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab Edition, you will want to use the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit # 1439-1.

In addition to a base plate kit and tow bar, you will need safety cables, lighting, and a supplemental braking system to complete your flat-towing setup.

For safety cables, you will need the Roadmaster 64 Inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, part # RM-643. Safety cables will keep your Jeep Wrangler attached to your towing vehicle if your tow bar were to disconnect from the hitch ball.

For a lighting solution, you could use the Magnetic Towing Light Kit, part # RM-2120. If you are going to be towing your Jeep often, I recommend the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, part # RM-154 as it would just plug into your vehicle each time you tow. (I attached a link to an FAQ page on how to wire a vehicle with a diode system).

Most states require a supplemental brake system when flat-towing a vehicle. I recommend Roadmaster Portable Braking System, part # RM-9400, which will help reduce wear your motor home brakes and help you slow down. You will also need a Brake-Lite Relay # RM-88400 so that the turn signals will still function properly while flat towing your Wrangler Moab.

Before towing your Jeep, you will want to consult your owner's manual or contact your Jeep dealership for specific steps needed to take when flat-towing. Some vehicles must be equipped with a transmission lube pump, axle disconnect or free-wheeling hubs before being towed.

I have added a helpful article on flat towing for you to check out.
