Using Quick Connect Wiring Harness On 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac With Factory Tow Package
Question:
where is the plug under the dash to install a time delay brake controler
asked by: Dale
Expert Reply:
The custom wiring adapter you can use for your Explorer is the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter, part # C51322. This will easily plug into the vehicle wiring harness under the dash near the center console. There will be a 6-pin connector that mates with the one on the adapter at the end of the harness. Verify that there is battery power supplied to the connector by carefully probing the connector with a circuit test light like part # PTW2993.
If you have a 7-way connector at the rear of your 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac the Curt Venturer Trailer Brake Controller, part # C74VV will work for you.
