Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT With Stow N Go Seating
Question:
Hi I am not sure if that would be the right model for my stow and go SXT Dodge. This model came as search result on google, but your video shows the 2003, also for the wiring. Which would be the correct one? And finally : is there a wiring which is fix connected to the hitch or do you have only the one stored in the side? Thanks so much!!

According to Draw-Tite, their Class II Trailer Hitch, # 36296, fits all models of the Dodge Grand Caravan from 1996 to 2004. They do not list Stow 'N Go compatibility until 2005. This hitch will not fit the 2005 models with the Stow 'N Go seating. Instead, part # 75305 would be required.
After doing some research, it looks like the Stow 'N Go option was first released in 2004 for the 2005 model years. It may be possible that your 2004 model was an early production 2005 model. You should be able to determine this by looking at the identification sticker on your door. If the manufacture date listed on this sticker is July 2004 or later, then it is likely that you have a 2005 model. You can also contact your local Dodge dealer with your VIN to confirm its exact model year.
If your Grand Caravan is indeed a 2005 model with Stow 'N Go seating, then you will want the Draw-Tite Class II Trailer Hitch, # 75305. I have attached an installation video of this hitch on a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan for you to check out. I recommend reviewing this video and the video for the 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan (also linked) and compare them to your van. This would be the best way to determine which hitch will fit your van.
All of the trailer wiring options available for the Dodge Grand Caravan were designed to stay in the rear cargo area. Routing a wiring harness to the trailer hitch typically involves cutting the harness, finding access to the underside of the van either through an existing grommet or drilling a new hole and splicing the harness back together.
The wiring harness that I recommend using is the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, # 118300. This harness fits the 2004 and 2005 models. I have attached an installation video on a 2005 Grand Caravan for you to check out. The installation process would be the same for a 2004 model.
