Can 2008 Prius and 2014 Prius V Accept the Same Trailer Hitch Receivers

Although we do offer several choices in Class I trailer hitch receivers for both the 2008 and 2014 model years of the Toyota Prius, the hitches for one model year are not compatible with the other. The two model years are part of different generations of the vehicle and so have differing frame structures.
I have provided two links for you; one is for hitches for the 2014 Prius V and the other for hitches for the 2008 Prius.
A Class I hitch is considered a light-duty hitch primarily to be used for hitch-mount accessory items such as a 2-bike rack or a lightweight cargo carrier. Please note that a Class I hitch can be used ONLY with Class I accessories. I have provided links to both compatible bike racks and to cargo carriers that can safely be used with a Class I hitch.
I suggest you refer to your vehicle owner's manual for any guidance or restrictions related to use of hitch mount accessories.
