Recommended Replacement for Kwikee 27 Series RV Steps
Question:
17 Tiffin Allegro Red 37pa, The steps are not working. No motor sound, no movement. most of the parts are pretty corroded. Would like to replace the motor and controller. But all of your kits include steps. I dont need to replace the steps. The stickers on the plate ID: Kwikee 9010000291 5041647 375632 Steps are 29 wide so Im guessing its a 27 series sticker on controller: Power Gear/Kwikee products PN: 1510000140 REV 0B Date Code: 16D261

You are correct since your steps are 29" wide, the only one it could be is the Kwikee RV Electric Steps - 27 Series - item # LC375632. We have a couple of replacement parts but there is no replacement motor. Since you are dealing with so many corrosion issues, I recommend replacing the entire thing with item # LC375632.

That doesn’t make any sense. They have a new motor and controller on the replacement steps. So why aren’t the parts sold separately? They certainly have half dozen or more motors that are sold separately for all the other series. $1000+ as opposed to $200-400 is really hard on the wallet.
