Do I Need to Remove the Spare Tire w/ Using the Flint Hill Goods Carrier on a Jeep Wrangler?

Hello. I see one comment regarding a Wrangler needing the exterior spare be removed and another with the other has the spare in place. We have a 2016 Wrangler Rubicon 2 door any thoughts on this? Thanks, Dave Dudek

Hey Dave! It's all going to depend on the depth of your tire and how far out the hitch pin hole sits in relation to the outside edge of the tire. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the carrier is 8-1/2" on the Flint Hill Goods item # FHG69ZR. The top of the carrier is 8" above the hitch pin hole.
