Hi Fred,

To find the right weight distribution hitch (WDH) for your trailer you'll want to fully load the trailer and truck bed like you were going camping and then measure the tongue weight. Each WDH will have a tongue weight capacity range and you'll want to be as close to the middle of it as possible. If you don't have access to a scale then the general rule of thumb is that your tongue weight is about 10-15% of your GVWR. A 2023 Forest River Surveyor Legend Travel Trailer 202RBLE has a GVWR of 6,957lbs so you'd be likely be looking at a tongue weight of 695-1043lbs.

Since you're right on the border of WDH capacity ranges I recommend actually measuring the tongue weight to ensure you're getting the right hitch for the job. You can check your Reese WDH capacity range to see if you fall within it. If not, the I recommend the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BXW0750 if your tongue weight falls between 550lbs - 750lbs, or the # BLU66FR if you find you sit between 750lbs - 1000lbs.

The Blue Ox SwayPro is one of the easiest hitches to install and use on the market without breaking the bank. The chain hanger brackets clamp onto the frame so you won't have to drill holes and with this design you can easily make adjustments to your tension without having to undo nuts and bolts to add or remove washers like other systems require.
