Troubleshooting Wheels Tilting In on Performance Boat Trailer
Question:
Hello, I have a two axle Performance boat trailer with 3500 EZ Lube axles. The wheel tilt inward and is causing more wear on the the tire inside. Axles was changed 4 years ago, can weak leaf springs cause this? The boat weighs approv 4800 empty according to specs.

If the leaf springs are totally worn out/flat and you're putting a lot of miles on the trailer that might happen eventually. Then again you aren't over the axle capacity with two 3,500 lb axles so I wouldn't exactly expect this from just the leaf springs. If they weren't like this before and it happened over time double check all of your suspension components. It could also be damage to the axles or spindles. Realistically it would be a good idea to take it by a trailer shop and have them look it over.
