Brake Controller Not Connected to 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD with a factory tow package. But I couldn’t find a harness for the generation of truck I have. So I hard wired in the controller as the the specs say but my dashboard on my truck still says service trailer brake system. And the prodigy p3 says trailer not connected.

Thanks so very much for your purchase from etrailer of the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195. We appreciate your business and the issue with it not being connected could be due to how a brake controller installs on certain year Silverado's, including 2008.
What you need to do is activate the brake controller and 12 volt power post connections under your hood. It's somewhat lengthy so I have added a link below to a help article which details how to do this.
