Recommended Hitch for a 2024 Jeep Wrangler

This hitch looks like the stock class II hitch on the Jeep. What is the difference with this hitch to make it a class III rating?

It sounds like you are talking about the Mopar 82215209. We don't mess with the OEM parts or have any information on them other then what can be found online.
I can say no matter what a hitch is rated for you will be limited to the actual capacity of your model of Jeep. The etrailer Hitch item # e98856 is a class III hitch which is rated for 3,500 lbs of towing capacity and a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight. It can be increased to 4,000 lbs and 400 lbs when used with a weight distribution system. This hitch fits quite a few models of Jeep from 2007 - 2024 and has been confirmed to fit your 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
