Help With Adjusting The Air Pressure On AirLift 1000 Air Springs
Question:
Can you recommend a good method to air up the Airlift 1000 bags? Ive installed them without issue but am finding it difficult to air them up and not deflate them as I am disconnecting the chuck. They take so little air to inflate that even a short pshhhinch from the Schrader valve is enough to deflate them 10-20 psi. Even checking the pressure with a pressure gauge is difficult to not accidentally let a little bit of air out. Letting out a little bitinch of air in a tire is maybe a half pound but a little bitinch of air from these air bags is 10-20lbs. Ive used both a compressor with a ball foot chuck as well as a simple bike pump with a clip on chuck. Neither seem to work well. I would really rather not purchase the separate Air Lift compressor products.

Due to the very low capacity of the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs # AL60732 this is why the pressure changes so quickly. There is not much you can do since you do not want to use an on board compressor System # AL25980 you might think about adding an inline air pressure gauge that you can find locally that way you can more slowly let air out by more lightly depressing the air valve with a pen.
