Yakima FullSwing 4-Bike Rack # Y02465 Recommendation for 2014 Subaru Outback
Question:
Is this rack compatible with a 2014 Subaru Outback? I was originally looking at the Thule Apex Swing, but realized its hitch locking mechanism wouldnt fit without modifying the bumper on my Outback. Im hoping the different locking mechanism on the Yakima rack makes it compatible with my car.

As long as you have a 2 inch hitch on your 2014 Subaru Outback like the Hidden Hitch part # 87568 then yes, the Yakima FullSwing 4-Bike Rack # Y02465 will work on your vehicle. You should have no interference from this rack with your bumper.
If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Yakima Tube Top Adapter Bar # Y02531 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
