Trailer Turn Signals are Activating Trailer Brakes
Question:
I have a 2021 Durango RT... I installed the 4 flat harness along with the 7 pin... I recently bought the echo Bluetooth controller... What other wires am I going to have to run? I already grounded the 7 pin and ran power with a 30 amp inline fuse. Also is it normal for the trailer brakes to engage when the turn signals come on. Ive been experimenting with a smaller trailer until I pick up my travel trailer.... If you need more information or clarification please let me know. Thanks Anthony Baca

The Curt Echo # C51180 is a Bluetooth brake controller so you don't need to run any more wires. As far as the brakes being activated when the turn signals are on, it sounds like you might've wired the brakes into the combined stop/turn signal circuit on the trailer or there is a short between the turn signal wire and the brake output wire on the 7-Way.
I'd recommend double checking your wiring and make sure that your ground is onto the frame of the trailer and your connectors are clean and not all corroded.
