Troubleshooting Control Module and Motor for a Lippert Tread Lite RV Step
Question:
Problem is the Tread lite Power step goes up and down , but doest stay in either full position.You can move the step by hand also.Is the problem with the step controller or the motor.

The best way to test this out is by applying 12V power to the motor directly so you can see if it operates correctly outside of the control module (see attached).
If everything works properly when you've bypassed the control module then you'll need to replace that with part # LC334850, otherwise the issue would be the motor which you can replace with part # LC183058.
