How Much Height Does Curt OEM GM Rail Kit Adapter # C88KR Add to Hitch Height
Question:
I have a 2019 silverado with a bw patriot 16K hitch. I am looking to buy a 2024 Silverado with a pre-prep 5th wheel package. I want to be sure that what I am reading is correct. The height of the hitch using the curt adapter will be 2 1/2 inches higher than it is now, so I will have to adjust the hitch and maybe the trailer kingpin height to get the measurement I need. Is that correct? Thanks

Hey William, yeah everything you mentioned is correct. The Curt rail kit adapter part # C88KR will add 2-1/2 inches to the hitch height so there is a good likelihood that you'll need to compensate for that by changing the hitch head height and/or the height of the pin box on the trailer.
