Recommended AC Unit for a Palomino Backpack Camper
Question:
Good afternoon I have a palomino SS-1240 backpack camper it’s a 2017 and came with no a/c unit but does have the vent opening and I’m hoping there is wiring from the manufacturer inside the ceiling adjacent to the center vent opening fingers crossed. I was looking into the advent unit part number acm1356 but was worried after watching the video on your website that I might have to build a wood spacer on the interior ceiling with I don’t want to do hoping you can give me some clarification thank you Tony

Tony I really wish I could but that information isn't available online. You'll need to open up your roof and take some measurements and see what you're working with or contact Palomino directly but I have a feeling they're going to tell you to do the same thing.
What I can tell you is the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System item # ACM135C you were looking at requires a 2-1/2" - 5" thick roof and 16" on center rafters or joists. The AC unit alone weighs 68 lbs so you will want to verify your Palomino Backpack's roof can support this weight.
