Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch For a Travel Trailer With 770lbs Dry Tongue Weight
Question:
Hi, I am looking to buy a weight distribution hitch but am unsure of the size I need. My travel trailer will have a hitch weight of 770lbs, a dry weight of 5552lbs, and potentially fully loaded weight of 7,650lbs. What size hitch would you recommend? Thanks.

I recommend going with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37120ET for your travel trailer. Since your trailer has such a high dry tongue weight of 770lbs it is quickly going to rise by the time the dealer adds on a 50lb battery and fills your propane tanks. This weight distribution hitch is rated for 800-1,200lbs of tongue weight so it will be able to support the additional tongue weight when you start filling the front storage compartment.
You will need a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install the included hitch ball on your head.
