Is the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Needed for the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO
Question:
Does the monitor light that you mount on the back of the mirror turn on when the brake is depressed actual brake pedal movement? I ask this because I was told that I should install a RM-751490 stop light switch that is actuated by physical pedal movement. Im confused as to why it is recommended to install this switch when the monitor light is part of the Demco braking system already.

Expert Reply:
The stoplight switch # RM-751490 and the monitor light that's included in the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 do the same job, so you wouldn't need it if you decided to go with the Stay-IN-Play DUO.
The stoplight switch would be needed if you we to use a different permanent braking system.
