Where do the Wires of a Draw Tite Activator Run to Install in a Vehicle

There are 4 wires coming out of the back of the Draw-Tite Activator IV Brake Controller part 5504. You are correct in that the black wire runs to the positive side of the vehicle battery through a circuit breaker. The white wire runs to the negative side of the battery.
The blue wire runs to the brake output circuit of the trailer connector at the rear of your vehicle and the red wire runs to the brake light switch on your brake pedal that only sees voltage when the brakes are applied. You would need a circuit tester like our part # PTW2993 to test for the correct wire.
