Parts Needed to Add a 50-Amp Service and 24Volt Battery System on Cargo Trailer Conversion
Question:
I am building a 28 foot travel trailer out of a cargo trailer. I need a number of components. It is insulated and ready to put the finish ceiling in. I need all the components for the electrical system. Do you have someone that can help put a system together that will work for me? I would want a 50 amp ac service, 24 volt dc converter/charger, 2000 watt inverter, Lithium batteries, and battery monitor. I would also like this system to be able to add solar at a later date. There are other components such as maybe a surge protector and power cords needed. Thanks

So we will start with a Power Cord # A10-5036EDBK which you can connect to your trailer using a Power Inlet # A10-50INBKVP. From there you will run your electrical into a panel which you can get from a local hardware store. The Progressive Dynamics 9100 Inteli-Power Lithium Converter Charger # PD914024ALV will connect to a power outlet. We do have the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34279952 which is compatible with the 24 volt system and has the 2,000 watts of power you are looking for. This can be a standalone or you can wire it into your panel using a Transfer Switch # F50ATS so it will automatically pull power from the batteries in the event of a power outage. The Surge Protector # HU27FR is good to have wired in line of your main power coming into the camper. This also has a smartphone app which will allow you to best monitor the power coming into your camper. And all the components listed above will not interfere with your ability to add Solar # 342-75010 at a later date.
We do not carry any 24 volt lithium batteries but the size of your power bank will depend on how much power you want to have on reserve. We also do not carry 24 volt battery management systems as 12 volt systems are the most commonly used.
