Is There a Difference Between Progressive Dynamics Converter # PD4655V and # PD4655LIV

Question:

Im considering upgrading my WFCO WF-8955PEC power center with a Progressive Dynamics converter. Im interested in the PD4655V and PD4655LIV models. I understand the PD4655V has a lithium jumper setting, and the PD4655LIV is specifically for lithium batteries. Could you confirm if both models are compatible with the WFCO WF-8955PEC system? Also, what are the key differences between the PD4655V with the lithium setting and the PD4655LIV, and why is there a notable price difference between them?

Expert Reply:

Since the part # PD4655V has come out and has ability to switch between lithium and lead acid batteries the part PD4655LIV was discontinued. At one point there were separate parts for lithium and lead acid batteries but since the current one can do both they got rid of the other two as they were pointless.

This for sure will replace a WFCO 888955 like what you have.
