RV Fresh-Water Fill Spout # CAM37102 Has a 2nd Hose Inside The Fill Door

Question:

I have a garden hose like connection inside my filler hole. Do I have to detach the hose from the tank and drop it through the new hatch from the outside? The door hatch on the Camco replacement has a flimsy door. Is this an exact duplicate of that with just an etrailer emblem stamped on it? Does it have a better door? This is for a 1982 LindyII G30 22foot camper

It looks like someone added the 2nd hose inside the Camco Replacement RV Fresh-Water Fill Spout w/ Spring-Loaded Door # CAM37102. This was most likely due to the other hose having a leak. I would remove the outer hose from the tank and inspect it and replace it if damaged. This will prevent you from having the second hose inside the fill.

While the doors are likely the same material it is important to remember if your current door is the original the plastic has likely become damaged over time by the UV rays and will be much flimsier than replacement.
