Wiring Kit For Flat Towing 2019 Ford Ranger Behind a Motorhome
Question:
I have an RV and need to tow a 2019 Ford Ranger. Does the Curt #56431 connect my RV to the Ranger providing tail and brake lights on the Ranger?

Expert Reply:
It does not; the part you mentioned is a 7-way for towing a trailer. So you'd need a different harness that gives you a harness up front of your 2019 Ford Ranger. For that the correct part number, depending on if you need a 4-way or 7-way, is the following:
- 4-Way: Curt Universal Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # C63CR
- 7-Way: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
Along with the wiring there's a number of other parts you'll need to complete the flat tow set up on your 2019 Ranger, which are the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU77XR, etrailer SD Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates # e47ZR, Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251, and Brake-Lite Relay # RM-88400.
