Parts Needed to Install Redarc Brake Controller in 2008 Ford E-350
Question:
Good afternoon, I have a 2008 Ford e350 van and would like to put a brake controller on. According to the dealer window sticker it has the tow package and it does have a 4 and 7 pin plug. I was hoping you could help me the needed items to do this. If you need more info i can go look in the vehicle at your direction. I will not be towing anything with more than 2 axles. I do like the redarc options due to the minimal change to oem look but am open to other options as well. Thank you and happy new year!

Since your 2008 Ford E-350 has a factory 7-way all you would need to install a brake controller like the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED24FR is the install harness part # RED87FR. I also really like the Redarc controllers for the reason you mentioned as it only puts a very small knob on the dash of the vehicle and because the controller uses an inertia sensor to decide how hard to apply the trailer brakes. The Liberty is the way to go too since you get that style of controller without having to pay more for the Elite which also features a time delayed setting that you would never use.
