What Install Harness Should 2002 Ford F-350 Use for Tekonsha Controller

Question:

Hi, I have a Tekonsha primas controller and a 3503 harness, that I am trying to put in a 2002 f250 with the original pigtail that came with the truck. I keep getting a short signal from the controller and was wondering what I’m doing wrong. As of now, I put my 20 year old Tekonsha back in, and getting ready to toss this “new technology”in the trash. Just thought I’d ask before tossing it out. Thanks

Sounds like the controller isn't getting wired up properly. Most likely the 12 volt power wire for the controller is getting ran to the ground circuit of the controller. The correct install harness is the # 3035-P for a Tekonsha controller in your 2002 Ford F-350 so I would verify for sure that is what you have since you mentioned a different number.
