Should Winching With Rear Winch Use Slave Battery With Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit

So I do Roadside assistance in my hyundai tucson 2022 and got a great deal on a 12000lbs badlands winch.. Ill be doing winch service here in Salt Lake city,, mainly just witching customer who are stuck in snowed in driveways n just off the roadways a few feet, Ive never did winch recovery before but my question is shouldnt I use a slave battery hook up with a like a 2 Guage quick connection wire harness bulldog wire harness I think maybe 15 feet long for rear mounted 12000lbs badlands winch sitting on a aftermarket winch mount .. and #2 when winch someone a fee feet should I use my hand held winch or my 12000lbs electric winch??? Because I read reviews u guys posted about steel cable getting wet n rusted also,, #3 I should always use my wheel chalks when witching on snow n ice correct???

I recommend using your standard vehicle battery for your winch along with the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit # BDW20206. This is the standard option and simplest way to get power to your winch; I have added a link below to a help article on wiring an electric winch.
As for winching a few feet, you can use the electric winch, and yes, please do use wheel chocks when winching on snow and ice.
