Does The 2023 Ford Edge Require Smart Diodes?

For tow bar wiring for a 2023 Ford Edge ST. Can I use standard Diode kit or do I need a "smart diode"? If so what kit do you recommend? Thanks

The 2023 Ford Edge ST has variable voltage tail lights, so a smart diode kit will be required. For that we recommend the Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit # RM38FR. This is a full wiring kit so you get your diodes, wire, a 6 pin plug, and your coiled cable to connect the towed vehicle to your coach.
