7-Way Wiring Harness & Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2013 BMW X3
Question:
I have a 2013 BMW X3 xDrive28i and have installed the ZCI Circuit Protected Wiring Harness 4- Flat Install Kit 119250KIT. I need to convert this to a 7 pin connector that I can use with a brake controller. Can you recommend the best product for this application? Thanks

Sure thing, all you're going to need is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 this kit will tee off of your ZCI Circuit Protected Wiring Harness 4- Flat Install Kit # 119250KIT and provide you with a 7 way so you can install a brake controller.
From here you can add a brake controller of your choice. I recommend going with the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller # RED44FR. This brake controller will work with trailers up to 3 axles, 12V and 24V systems, and will work with electric or electric over hydraulic brakes. I also like how clean this one looks when it's installed, just leaving the control knob exposed.
