Weight Distribution Shank Recommendation for a Pro Series System Where More Drop is Needed
Question:
Last year I purchased the Pro Series weight dist. hitch from you and it worked great with my F-150. I have just purchased a Dodge Ram 1500. When I hooked up the other day to test every thing with the hitch I noticed that I am going to need more that this shank will adjust to. What shank choices would you reccomend to replace with this system Pro-Series? I need at least 2 more inches. I still need have to go measure again to sure of needed. Thanks.

To determine exactly how much drop you would need out of a shank check out the FAQ article I attached that details exactly how this is determined.
The current shank you have will give you at most a 2 inch drop. For an additional 4-1/2 inches of drop capability check out the Reese Weight Distribution Shank part # RP63971. This shank can do a total of 6-1/2 inches of drop and should work well for you. I attached a review video for this product for you to check out also.
