Will e59AR cause my 2013 Forester to sit closer to the ground?

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e59AR will reduce the ground clearance on your 2013 Subaru Forester some, but it won't make the vehicle sit lower in the back. The only reason this will sit closer to the ground is because the receiver is the same height as the crosstube.
For a hitch that has the receiver sitting under the crosstube we have the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7164. With this model the crosstube is hidden behind your bumper so the only thing reducing clearance is the receiver itself.
The Eco-Hitch sits at a higher price-point since it's the only hitch for your Forester with the hidden crosstube, so I will say in regards to the lower ground clearance of the etrailer hitch that tis typically isn't an issue. The only time this style of hitch causes real ground clearance issues is for vehicles that sit closer to the ground like a sedan. Your Forester sits high enough you'll be just fine with the crosstube.
