Connections Under Hood Need to be Made for 2008 Chevy Tahoe for Curt Echo Mobile Controller
Question:
My 2008 Tahoe appears to be wired for a brake controller, but it did not come with one from the factory. Ive looked at some videos for installing a regular non bluetooth controller, and they all say that there are two pigtails under the hood that need to be connected to posts at the front of the underhood fuse box. My Tahoe has the pigtails - the factory taped them up neatly but did not connect them to the fuse box. this seems to be the way they came from the factory if you did not order the factory brake controller. Does the bluetooth controller need these two wires connected to work?

The Curt Echo mobile brake controller part # C51180 only requires having one of the connections made. It needs the 12 volt accessory circuit connection made but not the brake output circuit.
I attached a help article that covers the connections that get made.
