Fenders for a 1999 Triton Utility Trailer with 9 Inch Wide 8 Inch Wheels
Question:
Hi, I have a 1999 Triton GU8 utility trailer with aluminum fenders. I want to replace the current fenders with the Fulton Silver fender. The trailer has 8 inch wheels, but the tires are wide and the current fenders are 9 inches wide. The current fenders are about 22 inches long and 9 inches wide. It seems the fenders for the smaller than 13 inch wheels are all narrower than 9 inches. Do you think this is the right fender for my application? Also, the current fenders are bolted directly to the trailer through the skirt. Could I mount these the same way? That is, drill holes through the back of the fender and bold them on. It doesnt appear that there are any mounting holes in these fenders, which seems good for my application since I want to drill the holes anyway.

Given the width of your tires if you want the whole tire width covered the best option is # F008563. It is 9 inches wide bu 29 inches long.
You can mount the fenders by bolting them on but I recommend placing the bolt through a support plate or large washers and then through the fender to the trailer so that more surface area is secured. Or use brackets # PF775-BKT-2, one set for each fender.
