Can Prodigy P3 Brake Controller Be used in Dump Truck with Air Brakes
Question:
Could I adapt the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller Item # 90195 to work with my 1086 ford dumptruck airbrakes pulling my 24K electric braked trailer? If not what controller would you recommend?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes, the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 can be installed on a dump truck that has air brakes as it doesn't tie into the actual braking system at all and instead is activated by the vehicle's brake light circuit.
The P3 would be a great choice for this and even if you hadn't mentioned it would have been what I would have recommended.
