Can the Spring Bars Slip Out of a Dual-Cam Sway Control
Question:
I have been looking for a better sway control than the friction type. I ran across the Dual-Cam Sway Control. Looking at how it is setup with the bars over the cams and the chain hooked on the out side of the cam. What keeps the bar from coming over the top of the cam in a tight turn and slipping out? 2013 Ram 2500 4x4

Helpful Expert Reply:
What keeps the bars from slipping out of the cams around turns is the fact that the movement of the bars is pretty minimal under normal circumstances. In order for the end of the bar to be pulled out of the cam the degree of the turn would be sharper than what would be seen under normal circumstances.
Basically as long as you install the dual cam system of the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System part # RP66087 properly you would not have to worry about the spring bars riding up the cams far enough that they would slip out. Also, we have never seen this problem with any of the many dual cam systems we have sold.
