How to Identify Replacement Hub for Tie Down Engineering 11023

Question:

Afternoon. I have a trailer here that needs a hub/drum with the bearings. Im having a hard time finding it. But on the drum it says TDE 11023. Tie down dosent offer it anymore, Dexter does now. But dont think they list it, or have a replacement. Any help is appreciated!

Finding a replacement for your TDE 11023 will require identifying the bearings it uses now. We don't have any information on that specific part number and neither does Dexter. Go ahead and pull off the hub and check your bearings. You can look for part numbers stamped on the side, but if they're worn or missing you will have to measure using a digital caliper like # PTW80157.

The measurement you need is the inner diameter of the bearings. You could also measure the spindle where the bearings ride. See the diagram below. Once you have this information you can find the right replacement hub. For example, if you have a # L68149 inner bearing with a 1.378" inner diameter and a # L44649 outer bearing with a 1.063" ID then you can use the # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K as a replacement. You can also send me the bearing information and I will see if a replacement is available.
