Recommended Truck Bed Mat for A 2021 Ford F-350 With A Truck Bed Camper
Question:
What effect will having a 4500 lb slide in truck camper setting on it for an extended period 1-2 yrs? Would you recommend a different bed mat?

The BedRug Custom Truck Bed Mat # BMQ17LBS will likely have a bit of an indentation where the camper sat when you take it out, but that would be the case with any mat that you choose. There are rubber mats that you could use instead of this carpet-like mat, but this mat will most likely give you the easiest time since it has adhesive strips on the back side. This will help prevent the mat from sliding when placing the camper in the bed. Depending on the weight when you try to slide stuff in the bed with a rubber mat it'll typically fight you and slide and then bunch up and then you'll have to pull up and fix it before sliding the camper in.
The benefit of a rubber mat is that its a bit taller and can give a bit more cab clearance so a lot of people will go with a rubber mat so that don't need to worry about scraping the cab or any roof mounted antennas. This is a case by case scenario though so you might be fine without the extra clearance. If you'd like extra clearance then you can go with the Westin Custom Fit Truck Bed Mat # 50-6415 instead.
