Does Square Pipe Mount Swivel Jack w/ Footplate Rotating Pin Need to Be Place Horzontal or Vertical

Which way do you place the safety pin when the jack is holding weight, horizontally or vertically?

You can place the pin on the Square Pipe Mount Swivel Jack w/ Footplate # TJDP-5000-FLB either way when it is holding weight. The weight of the trailer will be bearing down on that pipe mount bracket while the pin just keeps the trailer jack in place. The only way there will be any significant amount of pressure placed on the pin is if the jack is forced to rotate while the pin is in place (like if you drove away with the jack down and hit something).
