To determine the best landing gear option for your 1997 Forest River Sierra you'll need to measure the where your weld-stops sit to see if there is a matching set so that you can swap over without having to cut off the old mounting brackets and weld on new ones. The Landing Gear Set w/ Handle # RVLG-8HDL you were looking at has a 15-1/2" distance from the bottom of upper weld stop to top of lower weld stop and a 17-1/2" distance from top of upper weld stop to bottom of lower weld stop. It has an optional motor # LC142178 as well so that you don't have to hand crank the jacks up or down.

Once we know your measurements we can check for a matching fit, otherwise you'll need to cut the brackets off and have new brackets welded on according to the weld stop spacing of the landing gear set you choose.
