Troubleshooting Trailer Jack that is Moving Slowly
Question:
My trailer jack is running very slow, acts like it doesnt want to lift, but eventually it did lift the trailer enough to detach from the truck. It happened suddenly. It happens same if trailer is plugged into the truck or not. Can this be due to old battery about to fail?

Helpful Expert Reply:
A powered trailer jack operating slowly can be from bad wiring (insufficient ground or weak connections), a weak battery that's not able to keep up, or the motor of the jack is bad and would need to be replaced.
I would first try charging your trailer battery and checking to make sure all of the wiring is solidly connected.
