Replacement Oil Cap for 10K Axles on Dump Bed Trailer

Question:

This photo is of my early 2000s PJ 20K Tandem Axle Dump Bed Trailer. The axles are rated at 10K each. Im looking to replace the oil bath caps, and am wondering if the part number shown in the attached photo translates to the more modern part numbers. If needed, I can take a measurement of the cap diameter. Thanks in advance for your help!

Helpful Expert Reply:

The Oil Cap Kit # RG04-250 is designed for standard 10K - 12K axles and has 3-3/4" diameter threads. This should do the trick for you but I do recommend measuring the diameter of your oil cap first as I wasn't able to find anything related to that part number.

Another thing to do is cross-reference your hub/drum part number with an oil cap that works so if we have troubles measuring the cap itself just let me know what the hub part number is an I can look further into this for you!
