Diode Tow Bar Lighting Kit that Fits 2015 Ford Edge Hybrid with LED Taillights
Question:
Referencing your response to “How to Wire a 2015 Ford Edge SEL to be Dinghy Towed”, I assume the same holds true for a 2015 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid with LED taillights? I just installed the 154 kit and have the same issue where only the single side marker LED lights up with the RV lights on, not the entire LED strip of the Fusion. At least the stop and turn lights are working correctly and I very rarely drive at night, so the important lights work properly for daytime driving. I’m surprised your video on the installation on a 2020 Fusion, with what appears to be identical LED taillamp assemblies, doesn’t mention this issue. If my vehicle needs the same as you described there, I will eventually follow your instructions, though it will be a challenge to find an electronics store anywhere close. Thanks.

I checked with Roadmaster on this and found out that the hybrid versions of your 2015 Ford Fusion with the LED taillights require a different diode setup which is why you are experiencing the problems you've mentioned using the # RM-154. So instead you would need the diode kit part # RO44FR for just the diodes and wiring or part # RM38FR for the kit that includes the coiled tow bar wiring and connectors.
