Will The Gen-Y Hitch Aluminum Loading Ramp Allow For Use on a Dump Trailer?
Question:
I bought a Load Trail dump trailer yesterday. 12’ 10,000#. The 10’ steel ramps are just to heavy for my 71 year old body. I am considering buying a 14’ 14,000# trailer as the 12’ is nice but would like an aluminum ramp to lighten things up. However I would prefer a set of 10’ ramps. 14’ is just to long. Could this work on a dump trailer? Only using it to load this Bobcat 35hp. Plus an attachment.

Our loading ramps like the Gen-Y Hitch Aluminum Loading Ramp Set # 325-GH-R96 are designed to hook into the channels generally found on car hauler type trailers. You could weld on this type of channel on the end of your trailer bed or cut some notches in your bed depending on the bed construction of your trailer. These ramps are 8' long and reasonably light at only 53lbs per ramp. With that light weight they are rated for weights up to 5,000lbs per ramp or up to 10,000lbs for your equipment.
