I was wondering about the rim offset and/or back-spacing of the rim in this set up, or if that is an option at check-out. I am going to be building a trailer in the research phase right now and would like to know what kind of clearances I have to work with.

Nearly all trailer wheels including the Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15 inch Galvanized Wheel # AM32397 have a zero offset.

The backspacing is 3-1/2 inches. I determined this by taking the width of the rim (6 inches), adding an inch for the wheel lip on either side and then dividing by 2.

The width of a trailer wheel is measured from the inner edge of a bead to the inner edge of the other bead. If you take this measurement it should be 5 inches on your wheel. Take a look at the video I have linked that shows how to measure. You can…
