Can the batwing compact fit on a 2019 Crosstrek w OEM crossbars? Do I need to get additional hardware to mount?

The Rhino-Rack Batwing Compact Awning # RR33300 requires that the crossbars extend past the towers/feet. With most OEM crossbars only sitting between the front to back rails on your 2019 Subaru Crosstrek you'd have to switch to a different crossbar setup in order to mount it. You would need the following components:

Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 49" Long - Qty 2 # RRVA126B-2
Rhino-Rack SX Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars - Raised Factory Side Rails - Qty 4 # RRSX100

With the longer crossbars in place you can then remove the endcaps on the driver's side and pull up the rubber strips to slip in the t-slot bolts for the awning mounting brackets and get your awning in place.
